LOGO The logo of Lutheran Women's Missionary League-Canada was adopted in 1993 when the Canadian Districts of International Lutheran Women's Missionary League formed an autonomous group. It incorporates the logo of Lutheran Church-Canada, of which they are an auxiliary, and the shortened form of the name…LWML Canada.
MOTTO The motto, selected in 1993, is "Called
to Serve," based on Deuteronomy 10:12 (NIV), "And now,
O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the
LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the
LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."
In 2004 the General Council of Lutheran Women's Missionary League–Canada selected a less formal phrase to describe the League and the work its members do. Lutheran Women in Mission and Service |
