Muffins

1/2 lb. lard
3 c. white sugar
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
3 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. salt
5 c. flour
4 c. Bran Flakes
2 c. All Bran
2 c. raisins
2 c. boiling water

Cream lard and sugar. Beat and add eggs. Add buttermilk. Sift together and add soda, salt and flour to 4 c. bran flakes. Fold into lard and sugar mixture. Pour boiling water over All Bran. Add to first mixture with raisins. Store in refrigerator. Bake as required at 375o for 15-20 minutes.
