TOGETHER IN PRAYER

Woman prayingEach Monday at noon we invite you to join together to pray with Lutheran sisters in Christ. Use this prayer (new each week) or your own.

May 14

Dear Father in heaven.

Please be with us this day and week as we take our daily walk with You. Thank you for the gift of mothers. Thank you for our families. Thank you for those who mother their own children and those of others. Guide and strengthen us in all that You would have us do. In your dear Son’s name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

PRAYER CALENDARS

Add to your prayer life with our monthly prayer calendar. Each month there will be a new theme and prayer concerns.

May 2012 - Each flower has a meaning and can help us worship our Lord.

Download May 2012 prayer calendar for your own use and share with others.

April 2012 - Personal prayers

Download April 2012 prayer calendar for your own use and to share with others.

Some Tips: You might want to include a calendar in each month’s congregational newsletter for the benefit of all. Another suggestion: print a prayer calendar on one side and the month’s suggestions from “A Year’s Worth of Empowering Women in Mission and Service” or “Program Ideas for Women’s Groups,” both available from the LWML–Canada Resource Centre.

ONLINE PRAYER REQUESTS

During the last few years LWML-Canada Update has been used to share with our members, requests for prayer. These prayer requests have included only LWMLC personnel who are serving, or have served, on the national level because many members across Canada know these women and pastors who are or have served them. Because we want to be accurate as well as respect the privacy of those for whom we pray, we have established a set of guidelines for your use.
Prayer requests will be posted here.

PRAYER REQUEST

Bonita Cleave is a member of the LWML-Canada Communication Committee. Her mother passed away and the funeral was May 15. Please keep Bonita and her family in your prayers, asking God to give them comfort, peace and hope during this time.

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
