Mission Statement Revised

Following their election at the 2009 convention in Ottawa the new executive with the district presidents (General Council) met to plan for the coming triennium. One of their tasks was re-writing the League's mission statement to make it easier to remember, thus having a greater impact on the activities of all members of the League. A vision statement and goals were also determined. Following this the newly appointed committees are meeting to determine ways to achieve these goals and move toward our vision of LWML-Canada in the future. Additional Website Launched

LWML–Canada has just launched a second website, www.shinelikestars.ca. Unlike www.lutheranwomen.ca, this one is aimed at women who happen to be surfing the web. There are a number of conversation-starters on the site including several blogs. You are welcome to look, read and participate, but even more important, invite other women, perhaps some who only loosely consider themselves Christians, to enjoy the site as well.
