Manuscript writing tips
The Program Resource committee is delighted to receive
manuscripts from LWML-Canada members and others. Here are some tips to
help you and the committee:
Each manuscript should be typed and
double-spaced. It is easier to review and allows space for comments.
Quotations of Scripture should be
identified as to where they are found and what version or translation
of the Bible is being used. If it is a quotation, it should be quoted
exactly as found.
Quotations from published material
must have copyright permission in writing from the copyright holder. Name
and address of the copyright holder is usually printed on the inside back
of the title page.
When hymns or Christian songs are
used it is vital to check if they are in public domain or are copyrighted.
If the hymn number is not listed on pages 970-975 of Lutheran Worship,
it is public domain and can be used without copyright permission but should
be acknowledged. If the number is listed on pages 970-975, the copyright
holder's name is printed. Call Concordia Publishing House (CPH) Rights
and Permissions Dept. at 1-800-325-0191 and permission will be given or
information provided as to where permission can be obtained.
We look forward to receiving your submissions. For an
address for submissions, please contact the Vice President for Mission
Inspiration (Judy at jkgrande@telus.net).
