PATTERNS
LWML-Canada has patterns for lap robes, children's
toques, turbans for cancer pations, etc. The following are available
for download (in PDF format *) at this time:
TRY SOME INTERGENERATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Among the intergenerational activities initiated
by the Mission Service Committee of LWMLCanada is the making
of Survivor Sacks. Most recently added is a visor
pattern with instructions
and an engine and train
car pattern with instructions
for making a train to help teach the Lord's Prayer.
WARM UP THE WINTER
We are in the middle of winter, the days ranging
from wet and windy to downright cold. Children love to play in the
snow and enjoy all winter has to give. It's hard to do this if you
don't have warm clothes on to play outside.
Included here is a mitten pattern (mitten
top and mitten
bottom) and instructions
to sew them up in polar fleece.
Scarves can also be made of polar fleece with no
sewing at all but one must check with individual school regulations.
Sometimes they aren't allowed because they may get caught on playground
equipment.
If you need further information on patterns, please
contact the Vice
President for Mission Service or the Mission Service committee.
